Mike Admire is a developer, technical manager, entrepreneur, Ruby evangelist, and open-source advocate. Currently living in the Kansas City area, Mike is the Technology Director at Andrews McMeel Universal where he leads the Universal Uclick technology team. His team is responsible for building and maintaining websites like GoComics.com, Dilbert.com, and Doonesbury.com, as well as the digital asset management and distribution systems necessary to store, organize, and distribute content from hundreds of content creators.
Mike studied computer information systems at DeVRY University. His work experience includes time spent as a Web Developer, Senior Systems Administrator, Senior Software developer, and Chief Architect.
When he’s not doing tech stuff he likes to spend time outdoors mountain biking, running, hiking, fishing, backpacking, and taking photographs.
